lllllllllllllllllllStudents about Matthijs
"Matthijs Verschoor is a truly inspirational teacher and musician. He does not instruct or impose but rather acts as a guide for like the greatest teachers he knows best how to draw out what lies within the student. Verschoors perception of the sound world is acute and exact and demands the utmost of his students. This is what enables them to develop not just their musical knowledge, but their own musical personality." - Eva Doroszkowska (London)
"Matthijs is one of the most fascinating musicians I've ever met in my life. Speaking about piano playing, he has found the balance between intelligent approach to the score and imagination. In his lessons music becomes full of life and his sensitive personality brings you to a special atmosphere of fantasy and poetry." - Carolina Estrada (Barcelona)
"He opened my ears for the beauty of sound and taught me how to enjoy playing and how to feel music with my body and heart." - Aya Tominaga (Tokyo)
